Youll partner with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to implement strategic procurement processes that drive cost savings, ensure supply-chain resilience, and support our R&D and Operational goals.
Position Overview:
Were seeking a strategic, detail-driven procurement leader with a proven track record of building sourcing functions from the ground up.
You will design and execute our end-to-end procure-to-pay process, negotiate and manage key supplier relationships across both direct (R&D, manufacturing, operations) and indirect (IT, facilities, services) spend categories, securing all mission-critical goods and services on time and within budget.
This hands-on role offers full ownership today-and the mandate to hire and lead a team as we scale.
Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
Define, Build & Implement Processes:
Architect and deploy scalable procure-to-pay workflows-from requirements gathering through PO issuance, receipt, and invoice reconciliation-across direct and indirect spend.
Strategic Sourcing & Cost Savings:
Develop category-specific sourcing strategies; negotiate agreements; onboard and qualify alternative vendors to drive redundancy and deliver measurable savings.
Technology & Systems Solutions:
Evaluate, design, and implement procurement platforms, reporting dashboards, and integrations ( ERP /P2P/ BI ) to automate workflows and enable Real-Time spend visibility.
Cross-Functional Requirements Translation:
Partner with R&D, IT, Finance and operations to translate project needs into clear, actionable sourcing specifications and SLAs.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Own supplier selection, performance tracking, risk mitigation, and contract lifecycle management for all critical goods and services. Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure adherence to quality/regulatory standards and internal policies; produce KPIs, spend analyses, and executive-level dashboards to drive informed decision-making.
Requirements: Requirements:
Bachelors Degree (minimum): In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
7+ Years in Pharma/Biotech Procurement: Demonstrated success building and running sourcing functions within R&D-driven organizations.
Deep R&D & Supply-Chain Expertise:
In-depth understanding of Biotech/Pharma R&D workflows, lab materials and consumables and industry-specific logistics.
Seasoned Negotiator:
Track record negotiating million-dollar contracts and managing high-volume spend, as well as handling ad-hoc, low-value purchases with equal finesse.
Hands-On & Agile:
Willingness to roll up your sleeves on transactional issues-from urgent POs to invoice disputes-and thrive in a flat, fast-paced startup environment.
End-to-End Ownership:
Full lifecycle responsibility for supplier sourcing, contracting, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Risks mindset: Proven ability to map supply chains, identify risks, and develop mitigations/contingency plans.
Tech Implementer:
Experience selecting and deploying procurement platforms, ERP /P2P integrations, and reporting tools to drive visibility and automation.
Strong leadership and ownership - Demonstrates a proactive, results-driven ownership mentality, with the adaptability and eagerness to take on additional responsibilities-such as inventory and logistics management-and more as the role evolves.
Proficient Hebrew and English - verbal and written.
Other languages an advantage.
Familiarity with NetSuite - an advantage.
