Job Summary Under the supervision of both our Rabbi and the Executive Director, the Director of Development is directly responsible for the company's fundraising activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
developing and implementing fundraising strategy, locating new sources of support, grant writing and reporting to foundations and donors, managing and developing donor relations and monitoring and evaluating projects with relevant staff members.

Developing and implementing a fundraising strategy for the company. Fundraising from a variety of sources private donors, visitors, philanthropic foundations in Israel and abroad, organizations and governmental entities.
Writing grant proposals and reports to donors and foundations Developing and maintaining relations with donors, creating commitment and long-time partnerships, keeping and maintaining close relationships with Friends of the company, a US based non-profit organization.
Establishing and managing a Fundraising Committee from among the members of the company and working with lay leadership and the company membership in the field of resource development.
Identifying and creating opportunities for resource development, including developing new and varied funding channels.
Developing and maintaining donor database.
Managing and delegating responsibilities among other staff members Preparing quality fundraising and outreach materials including support with the company's newsletter, Planning and preparing fundraising trips.
Position open from August 2017.
Location: Baka, Jerusalem.
Prior experience in fundraising and resource development.
Fully fluent in English.
Good conversational Hebrew is an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly motivated and able to self-manage.
The job requires responsibility, innovation, creativity, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
