As an Optical Assembly Process Engineer, you become part of the company R&D team, and you will be working on the forefront of the communication technology, building the interconnection infrastructure for the Sophisticated Computing and Artificial Intelligence revolution.
What you'll be doing:
Create and optimize advanced optical assembly procedures and recipes.
Work with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, including machine vendors, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
Develop, customize, and qualify complex automated assembly systems.
Establish new assembly methodologies using novel equipment and processes.
Lead process failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and execute Process Transfer packages for high-volume manufacturing and support production ramp-up.
Lead projects from concept to implementation and qualification, managing schedules, priorities, and team coordination.
Ensure methodical, data-driven, and well-documented execution throughout all stages of the project.
Requirements: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Material Science and engineering/Opto-Mechanical engineering/Physics/Mechanical engineering/Electrical engineering
5+ years experience in R&D department or process engineering in the semiconductor, optics, or PCB industry.
High capability and understanding of machine software and recipes as well as process integration.
Self-managed, initiative and innovative.
Superior problem-solving and presentation skills.
Teamwork player as well as a sole worker.
Strong attention to details.
High level of written and verbal communication in Hebrew and English.
Traveling abroad with frequency of one week in a quarter.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Previous experience in R&D teams in semiconductor or optical communication industries.
Proven experience and deep knowledge in precise assembly machines
Good understanding and/or modeling skills of optical devices and phenomena (Zemax or equivalent SW tools).
Programming skills.
