We are looking for a Software Category Lead to own and lead the global Software, SaaS, and Cloud procurement categories. The role is responsible for defining and executing end-to-end category strategies covering enterprise software, engineering and development tools, SaaS platforms, cloud services, and licensing agreements.
This position combines strategic category leadership with hands-on sourcing, complex negotiations, and vendor management. The SW Category Leader partners closely with R&D, IT, Legal, Finance, and senior stakeholders to drive cost optimization, compliance and risk mitigation.
Onsite presence is required 4 days per week: at least 3 days/w at our Jerusalem office, 1 day at another company site, and 1 day remote.
What Will your job look like:
Category Strategy & Ownership:
Develop and maintain a global software category strategy aligned with business needs and technology roadmaps.
Conduct market analysis, spend analysis, and risk assessments to identify opportunities.
Build multi-year sourcing plans, cost-reduction initiatives, and supplier optimization roadmaps.
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiations
Lead complex negotiations for enterprise agreements, cloud contracts, and engineering tool subscriptions.
Develop negotiation strategies based on TCO, value creation, and competitive benchmarks.
Secure optimal commercial, technical, and contractual outcomes.
Internal Business Partnership
Partner closely with R&D, Product, IT, and Finance to understand requirements and build annual demand plans.
Influence stakeholders to adopt strategic sourcing practices and category governance.
Act as the internal consultant for software procurement, compliance, and optimization.
Supplier Management & Performance
Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers (e.g., cloud providers, EDA, CAD tools, AI/ML platforms, enterprise software vendors).
Monitor performance, pricing, contract compliance, SLAs, and roadmap alignment.
Drive supplier innovation, joint technology reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contracting & Compliance
Lead the structuring, drafting, and execution of software agreements.
Ensure compliance with licensing models, usage rights, data privacy requirements, and audit obligations.
Collaborate with Legal and Security on contractual risk mitigation.
Requirements: Desired Background
5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management in software categories - must
Strong track record of negotiating complex software and cloud agreements.
BSc/MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant technical experience.
Excellent stakeholder-management and influencing skills at senior levels.
Deep knowledge of software licensing models (subscription, perpetual, SaaS, cloud consumption).
Experience with strategic suppliers (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, AWS, Azure, Atlassian, Autodesk, etc.).
Analytical, strategic thinker with strong financial and contractual understanding.
