As the Technical Director for Reactive Services, you will serve as a senior-level consultant and client advocate, providing expert guidance on all facets of cybersecurity and data breach response. You will deliver strategic and technical leadership to a diverse range of clients, helping them navigate complex security incidents. Your expertise will be critical in shaping response strategies and ensuring clients effectively mitigate and recover from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert-level strategic and technical guidance to clients during active data breach response and cybersecurity incidents.
Lead complex client engagements from initial scoping and resource allocation through to technical execution and final reporting.
Apply deep knowledge of forensic processes, including chain of custody, and advanced computer and memory acquisition techniques.
Utilize industry-standard forensics tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, SleuthKit, Volatility) for in-depth analysis across major operating systems.
Challenge curiously by maintaining hyper-current knowledge of the threat landscape, emerging vulnerabilities, and attacker TTPs to inform response strategies.
Conduct detailed analysis of malware, identify persistence mechanisms, and triage threats to determine root cause and impact.
Proactively collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communicating clear, actionable findings.
Develop and automate scripts and processes to simplify and enhance the efficiency of incident response scenarios.

This client-facing role requires the Principal Consultant to lead and produce deliverables for reactive services engagements. You will work directly with multiple customers and key stakeholders, from technical administrators to the C-Suite, to manage incident response engagements from start to finish and provide expert guidance on long-term security posture remediation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end incident response engagements, including scoping work, guiding clients through forensic investigations, containing security incidents, and providing long-term remediation recommendations.
Perform reactive incident response functions, including host-based analysis of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X systems to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
Investigate data breaches by leveraging digital forensics tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, SIFT, Splunk) to determine the root cause of compromises and malicious activity.
Examine firewall, web, database, and other log sources to identify evidence of malicious activity, focusing on the details to ensure a thorough and accurate investigation.
Proactively collaborate with and mentor junior team members, sharing expertise in incident response and forensics best practices to empower others and ensure team alignment.
Effectively communicate complex technical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
Travel as needed to meet client engagement demands, typically averaging 20%.

This role reports to Devops Director, Cortex product You will be expected to be versed in the technical domains and be able to engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff . We are looking for someone with strong critical thinking and analytical skills, who is a self-starter, a great communicator and has demonstrated ability to build consensus at all levels, and is passionate about driving change in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Your Impact Work closely with DevOps, SRE and platform engineering teams to orchestrate end-to-end delivery of complex infrastructure and product capabilities across multiple services and environments. Serve as the primary integration point between DevOps and development teams, ensuring smooth alignment on architecture, deployment models, CI/CD processes, reliability targets, and production readiness. Partner with product management to translate high-level requirements into technical execution plans, define realistic timelines, and track cross-team commitments. Maintain a system-level understanding of all moving parts: production change process, infra upgrades, migrations, capacity plans and rollout constraints. Identify and flag technical dependencies early, particularly those affecting infrastructure, deployment flows, monitoring, and scaling requirements. Drive and define change-management processes: release planning, rollout strategies, maintenance windows, gating criteria, risk assessments, observability readiness, and post-launch validations.
