Were looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our companys Core Search product - one of the most critical engines powering our global marketplace. As the PM of Core Search, youll own the buyer search experience, search backend and algorithmic infrastructure, from retrieval algorithms to ranking, marketplace health and personalization frameworks. Your mission will be to ensure that every buyer finds the right seller - fast, relevantly, and fairly.
You'll work closely with search scientists, ML engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to build systems that scale, self-optimize, and constantly adapt to marketplace dynamics and business trends and econimics.
What am I going to do?
Take full ownership of our companys core search functionality - covering retrieval, ranking, scoring, relevance, diversity, and evaluation.
Lead the retrieval and ranking stack and guide development efforts that continuously improve search quality.
Own search relevance and business KPIs to continuously improve the quality, precision, and relevance of results - optimizing the buyer experience across different intents, use cases, and search products.
Define the long-term vision and strategy for our companys search infrastructure and set the strategic direction for all core search flows, ensuring alignment with our companys business goals.
Partner with engineering, data science, machine learning, BI, and fellow product leaders to deliver high-impact, search-driven experiences.
Stay at the forefront of search innovation by exploring trends in semantic retrieval, algorithmic fairness, LLM-augmented search, personalization, and AI-powered evaluation.
Requirements: 5+ years of product management experience in search, recommendation systems, or other algorithmic/data-driven domains.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate quantitative data and qualitative signals into actionable strategy.
Proven track record of working closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and engineers on high-impact, algorithm-heavy products.
A hands-on, outcome-oriented leader with a strong sense of product, business impact, and logical reasoning.
Strong communication and prioritization skills; capable of translating technical challenges into clear product direction.
A strong understanding of search infrastructure, including retrieval methods (dense, graph, hybrid), ranking systems, evaluation processes, and metrics, is a strong advantage.
