The Junior / Trainee Instrumentation and Electrical Technician supports the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation, control and electrical systems used in oil and gas operations. This role is designed for entry-level candidates and focuses on developing technical skills while working under close supervision of senior technicians, ensuring safe and reliable plant operations.

Ashdod, Southern District

Demonstrates ability to monitor and operate plant equipment and conduct routine duties and non-routine Operations activities.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment to identify hazards.

Toolbox talk and last-minute risk assessment using COW processes for a specific activity.

Demonstrates basic technical competencies and capabilities in upstream/ midstream/ downstream and manufacturing plant operations, including pipeline and hydrocarbon behavior

Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and solve basic operational problems by teaming and collaborating with cross-functional teams

Supports and properly responds to unplanned events and their impact on equipment and operations.

Comply with the Companys safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements

Identify and describe basic step-by-step maintenance requirements in Gas and chemical streams

Report and identify the source of surface staining on tanks and equipment.

Maintain, record, and inventory production supplies

It has basic ability to read/interpret/field as-built P&IDs, SAFE Charts, Cause & Effects.

Basic abilities to analyze trends of efficiency degradation on production equipment

Performs basic analysis of Process Safety Management (PSM)

Utilization of computerized systems, including SAP, D2 (document control), Enablon (E-PTW), and Bluebeam Revu.

Execute and understand MOC and RIK processes

Execute level 1 and level 2 Hazard analysis in general work, breaking containment, isolation of hazardous energy, bypass critical protection, and stop work authority to ensure safe operation.

Maintenance & Technical Execution

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment such as Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Engines, gearboxes, and related mechanical systems.

Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools, vibration analysis, and equipment history.

Support overhauls, breakdowns, and planned shutdown activities.

Ensure all work is performed according to engineering drawings, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and maintenance procedures.

Identify recurring mechanical problems and recommend long‑term solutions.

Safety & Compliance

Execute maintenance work in strict compliance with safety procedures MOC (Management of change), JRA (Job Risk Analyses), Control of Work, Start Work Checks.

Participate in toolbox talks and actively contribute to a safe working environment.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and compliance checks.

Ensure proper hazardous energy isolation and safe work practices.

Project & Integrity Support

Assist with mechanical scopes of projects, upgrades.

Support asset integrity programs including vibration monitoring, lubrication management, and equipment condition assessments.

Participate in commissioning and start-up of new rotating equipment.

Collaborate with inspection teams on mechanical integrity and equipment health assessments.

Collaboration with Supply Chain

Identify required spare parts and support procurement of mechanical components and consumables.

Ensure proper storage and preservation of spare parts.

Assist with coordination of specialized vendors and third‑party maintenance services.

Maintenance Planning & CMMS

Provide feedback to planners and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) superusers for scheduling improvement.

Update CMMS with detailed work order information.

Support continuous improvement of job plans, procedures, and maintenance strategies.

Ensure maintenance frequencies follow regulatory, and reliability best practices.

Team Contribution & Performance

Collaborate effectively with technicians, engineers, and operations staff.

Support reliability initiatives and root cause failure analysis (RCFA).

Maintain strong preventive maintenance discipline to minimize unplanned shutdowns.

Coordinate and execute logistics, equipment, and personnel mobilization to and from offshore facilities, and create vessels operation schedules according to the offshore facilities' requirements.
Manage charter/leased vessels regulatory and corporate standards compliance. Act as BU representative for Marine operations - Ensure compliance with Local & International marine regulations (IMOT & IMO), and cooperate with Chevron Shipping MSRE (Marine Safety, Reliability & Efficiency) department.
Work with the EHS&R department to ensure compliance with the companys procedures and local laws and regulations, including Hazardous Materials handling, monitoring safety performance, and reviewing work processes, lead an excellent safety culture, and perform as the ultimate work authority in the BU shore base facility.
Implement and assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining various aspects of shore base procedures, including health & safety, supply chain, operations, projects, security, and environmental. Implement specific shore base procedures and processes to ensure service excellence and impart ownership and accountability of the Shore base function.
Manage Operations Shore base budget, monitor and approve invoices, and keep accurate records of all transactions. Ensure correct charges to the relevant JV accounts. Align with Finance on identifying and tracking cost-saving opportunities.
Work with offshore and onshore key stakeholders on activities planning, identify and solve issues involved with marine vessel operations.
Develop and ensure implementation of the Shore base annual work plan, strategy, objectives, and goals. Create, analyze statistics, extract data, identify, and establish shore base KPIs.
Ensure record keeping of documentation related to equipment mobilization, waste and hazardous materials waste disposal, suppliers delivery documents, and cargo manifests.
Develop and maintain relationships with Ports Management as well as other relevant regulatory authorities.
