We are seeking an experienced and security-oriented system Administrator to join our IT team. Responsible for maintaining, configuring, and securing our organizations infrastructure, with a strong focus on networking, virtualization, and firewall administration. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as this role involves frequent interaction with internal users and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities: Manage and monitor internal infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and firewalls.
* Administer and maintain systems such as VMware /Hyper-V and backup solutions.
* Configure and maintain network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) with a focus on security best practices.
* Apply security patches, hardening procedures, and proactively monitor for threats and vulnerabilities.
* Respond to technical system support tickets and incidents in a timely and customer-focused manner.
* Document system configurations, processes, and procedures clearly and accurately.
* Collaborate with other IT staff to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and improvements.
* Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
Requirements: * 3-5 years of experience in a system /network administration role.
* Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
* Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and hardware.
* Proficiency in managing firewalls.
* Strong knowledge of security best practices and system hardening techniques.
* Familiarity with Microsoft and/or Linux server environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
* Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and security awareness.
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Collaborative team player with strong customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
* Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
* Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
