Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, databases, reports, and dashboards to provide actionable business insights.

The Role:
As a Data Scientist you’ll play an essential role in driving data-informed decisions that strengthen our AML/CFT compliance and empower business leaders with actionable insights. By transforming complex data into clear, compelling analysis, this role enables quick understanding of results and supports strategic recommendations that directly influence compliance outcomes and operational success. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver a comprehensive view of risk, monitor the impact of implemented strategies, and make critical adjustments as needed. From designing and refining transaction monitoring scenarios to producing high-quality dashboards and reports, your work will guide ongoing optimization efforts.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:

* Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations so they can make informed data-driven decisions.
* Collaborate with various partners to provide a holistic view of the analysis. Measure and monitor results of applied recommendations and present adjustments.
* Develop scenarios involving tuning, calibration, segmentation, and optimization.
* Provide routine and ad hoc reporting tied to AML/CFT compliance.
* Develop insightful and compelling summary reporting and dashboards for management and business line partners.
* Support the development of policies and procedures for AML transaction monitoring life cycle, including reviews of scenario validation, segmentation and optimization tools.

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical AML/CFT Scenario Design & Oversight Analyst to join our AML/CFT & OFAC Compliance team.
In this role, you'll help protect the integrity of Cross River's financial ecosystem by designing, implementing, and evaluating monitoring scenarios, analyzing detection patterns, and optimizing AML/CFT detection frameworks.
Your expertise in red flag typologies and data analytics will ensure our monitoring systems effectively identify suspicious activities while maintaining operational efficiency.
