We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile Payroll controller & Bookkeeper to join our Finance team.
Responsibilities:
Full bookkeeping up to trial balance
Ongoing payroll processing for company employees: reporting, onboarding, offboarding, and benefits contributions
Handling reports to authorities (VAT, income tax, National Insurance, withholdings)
Ongoing work with banks, suppliers, customers, and government authorities
Preparing monthly reports, cash flow, payroll reports, and management reports - including accounting accruals such as accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, depreciation
Collaboration with external CPA, including preparation of materials for balance sheets and tax audits
Responsibility for financial controls, processes, and procedures in accounting and payroll.
Requirements: Bookkeeping Certificate Level 2 - Required
Certified Payroll Accountant (recognized by the Institute of Tax Consultants) - Required
At least 7 years of experience in a similar role - Required
Full proficiency in Priority ERP system - Required
Full proficiency in Excel - Required
Experience working with external CPA, preparing reports and filings - Required
Good level of English (professional reading and writing) - Required
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, attention to detail, and high level of accuracy
Strong analytical skills
Experience in bookkeeping for a U.S.-based company - Strong Advantage
Bookkeeping Certificate Level 3 - advantage
Experience working with DOKKA- Advantage
Proficiency in payroll software (Michpal or experience transferring data from Michpal to another system) - Advantage.
