As a Technical Product Manager for Data & Integrations, you'll own the strategic vision and execution of our foundational data infrastructure that powers everything does. You'll drive both real-time and batch ingestion of engineering data at enterprise scale, working closely with engineering teams to build a robust, reliable integration foundation that seamlessly connects diverse systemsfrom AWS and GitHub to Jira and beyondinto unified developer portal.
This role sits at the heart of platform, directly influencing our ability to scale and deliver value across customers' entire engineering ecosystems. You'll collaborate closely with Platform Engineers, engineering, architects, design and field teams to ensure our data integration capabilities meet the complex, varied needs of enterprise environments while maintaining the high reliability and performance our customers depend on.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product vision and roadmap for Port's foundational data ingestion layer, enabling seamless integration with 3rd party platforms (AWS, GitHub, Jira, etc.) and defining the strategic direction for data pipeline capabilities
Work directly with customers to deeply understand integration requirements and use cases, serving as the bridge between customer needs and technical implementation while gathering actionable feedback
Work with engineering and architecture teams to understand each 3rd party platform's unique data models, authentication methods, and constraints, collaboratively defining secure and efficient data ingestion processes tailored to platform-specific requirements
Collaborate with engineering teams and architects to define and design scalable integration patterns, data pipeline architectures, and holistic ETL/ELT flows from extraction through transformation to software catalog loading
Evaluate ETL/ELT technologies and implementation approaches through systematic research and validation, defining clear product requirements that balance customer needs with technical feasibility
Define exceptional user experience for data pipeline configuration and monitoring, including intuitive transformation definition workflows, real-time visibility into data fetching status from 3rd party platforms, comprehensive error handling and debugging capabilities, and clear pipeline progress tracking throughout the ingestion process
Establish success metrics and KPIs for platform performance, adoption, reliability, and customer satisfaction, with regular tracking and reporting on scalability and system health
Balance technical trade-offs while advocating for solutions that prioritize user needs and business value, aligning platform capabilities with measurable customer outcomes
Requirements: 3+ years of product management experience with significant focus on integrations or data products
Experience building and scaling enterprise products at companies with established product-market fit and mature enterprise customer base
Experience working directly with technical customers through hands-on engagement including customer calls, feature demonstrations, vision alignment, and systematic feedback collection to drive product improvements
Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives across cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to create intuitive user experiences for technical products and complex workflows
B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fiel
