We are seeking an experienced and innovative Automation Engineer with strong system-level thinking and leadership skills to join our Maintenance and Technology Department. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role responsible for defining, designing, sourcing, and implementing automation systems across the companys our company manufacturing lines, with the goal of improving efficiency, quality, and process stability.
The Automation Engineer will collaborate closely with maintenance, technology, engineering, and production teams and will serve as a key driver in integrating Industry 4.0 solutions, robotics, and advanced control systems into the manufacturing floor. This position requires technical expertise, project management skills, creativity, and excellent communication with both internal teams and international suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead automation projects from concept to implementation - including requirements definition, design, supplier selection, integration, and commissioning
Define technical specifications (URS/FS/DDS) and project documentation
Evaluate and integrate new technologies in robotics, motion control, vision systems, AGVs, sensors, and SCADA/HMI platforms
Manage technical and commercial negotiations with local and international suppliers, conduct FAT/SAT, and oversee system integration on-site
Develop preventive maintenance plans and operational procedures for automated systems
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to identify bottlenecks and initiate process-improvement projects
Conduct ROI, OEE, and cost-benefit analyses for automation investments
Provide training and technical support for engineers and technicians on automated equipment
Prepare full project documentation, including procedures, manuals, and validation reports
Support implementation of Industry 4.0 and Smart Maintenance initiatives.
Requirements: B.Sc. in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering - required
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading automation projects in a manufacturing environment - required
Proven experience in defining, designing, purchasing, and implementing automation or robotic systems - required
Strong experience working with suppliers and integrators (local and international) - required
Full proficiency in technical English - reading, writing, and communication - required
Hands-on experience with control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) - strong advantage
Familiarity with machine safety and automation standards - advantage
System-level perspective, initiative, and ability to manage multidisciplinary projects independently
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in MS Office and CAD/design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) - advantage.
