As an Infrastructure DBA you will be responsible for the SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.

The Infrastructure DBA will report directly to the DBA Architecture Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments. (24/7).
Manage duties such as troubleshooting, and tuning input/output to enhance database performance.
Monitor and optimize the performance of the databases.
Write new and correct existing database monitoring processes.
Support of production SQL Server instances.
Configuration and performance optimization of stored procedures.
Preparation of SQL Server instances for migration to newer SQL Server versions.
Strong knowledge on Hight Availability Technology of MSSQL
Requirements: Minimum 10 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
Experience with Production environments - at least 5 years - must
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, especially MSSQL 2019 and MSSQL 2022.
Primary focus on infrastructure tasks (Infrastructure DBA; 80% infrastructure-related).
MANDATORY: Advanced experience in installing, configuring, and supporting high-availability solutions like AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Failover Cluster Instances (FCI).
Advanced skills in managing database backup and disaster recovery (Backup & Restore).
Knowledge and practical experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Hands-on skills in monitoring and performance optimization of SQL Server (SQL Profiler, Extended Events, SQL Server Performance Monitor, SQL Sentry, SolarWinds DPA, RedGate SQL Monitor, or equivalent tools).
Experience in database migrations, including minimal downtime scenarios.
Strong proficiency in T-SQL query language.
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud solutions (Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instance).
Familiarity with virtualization tools VMware, Hyper-V (preferred).
Automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages (preferred).
Understanding DevOps principles and practical experience with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.
Candidate must be willing to perform on-call from home duties once a week + on weekend once a month.
