The role includes designing mechanical solutions for advanced control systems operating in harsh environments, managing subcontractors, and providing technical guidance to mechanical engineers.
Responsibilities:
* Mechanical design of large control and monitoring systems, including sub-systems, moving components, and electrical wiring, using SolidWorks.
* Conduct detailed thermal, structural, and dynamic analyses while adhering to military standards (e.g., MIL- STD -810, MIL- STD -461).
* Collaborate closely with electrical, control, and software teams to develop tailored solutions for customer and system requirements.
* Develop robust mechanical enclosures and fixtures designed for extreme environmental conditions (vibration, temperature, humidity, etc.).
* Guide and mentor mechanical engineers throughout the development process to ensure optimal design and adherence to standards.
* Manage and supervise subcontractors, including defining technical requirements, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeline compliance.
* Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including SolidWorks drawings, system specifications, and manufacturing files.
* Support integration processes and validation (V&V) and qualification testing to meet project milestones.
Requirements: * Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc) mandatory.
* At least 3 years of experience in designing complex mechanical systems for large control systems mandatory.
* Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, including parametric design, assembly creation, and drawing generation mandatory.
* Strong knowledge of military standards (MIL- STD -810, MIL- STD -461, MIL- STD -1275) mandatory.
* Proven experience in managing subcontractors and mentoring mechanical engineers mandatory.
* Experience in structural, thermal, and vibration analysis using CAE tools an advantage.
* Hands-on experience working with multidisciplinary systems integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Advantages:
