The National Library of Israel is seeking a creative Video Content Creator/Editor to join its English content team. The role includes developing video ideas based on the library's collections, scriptwriting, and managing productions from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
Research & Ideation: Dive deep into the National Library's diverse departments and collections to find captivating stories. Conceptualize original ideas, new video formats, and unique series.
Scriptwriting: Write engaging, well-researched, and structured scripts for YouTube videos and social media platforms.
End-to-End Production: Manage the production process, including coordinating timelines, visual assets, and working with external vendors.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with library experts, curators, and archives to bring historical and cultural treasures to life.
Requirements: Native English speaker with a high level of Hebrew proficiency.
Demonstrated experience in research, creative concept development, and scriptwriting for digital video platforms.
Strong storytelling skills with a passion for thinking outside the box regarding visual style, directing, and content delivery.
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the humanities.
A strong interest in, affinity for, or familiarity with Jewish, Israeli, and Middle Eastern culture and history. Familiarity with US Jewry is a plus.
Major Advantages
On-Camera Presence: Ability or experience presenting and hosting videos on-camera (a significant advantage, but not a requirement).
Video Editing: Hands-on experience with video editing tools and software.
