We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to lead the technical aspects of customer engagements around Confluent's Data Streaming platform.
This role combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and requires the ability to engage with both technical and executive stakeholders. we are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect.
In this position, you will be a key member in the pre-sales process, working directly with global startup customers and cross-functioning with account managers to develop AWS solutions for the customers.
📍 Work location: hybrid from Tel-Aviv.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with customers, understand their business challenges, and design AWS solutions that address them, covering architecture, cost-efficiency, scalability, and security through Statements of Work (SOW)
Analyze existing customer AWS architectures and propose improvement roadmaps
Collaborate cross-team with different departments to ensure solutions are designed according to AWS best practices
Build thought leadership in the cloud community by contributing to blogs, workshops, webinars, conferences, and more, representing Automat-it as a trusted voice in the ecosystem
Travel both locally (to meet with customers, partners, and attend local events) and abroad (at least once a quarter)
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in an AWS environment, designing solutions end-to-end
2+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role such as Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, Presales Engineer, SRE, or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and Containers
Experience designing infrastructure for high-scale production environments in AWS
Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats in front of customers
Ability to lead an end-to-end engagement with the account management team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew; professional proficiency in English
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
Experience in an IT environment with hands-on in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
Familiarity or expertise with DevOps and CI/CD practices
Experience in a production environment developing software with Python, Go, Java, or equivalents
AWS Solutions Architect Professional or a specialty certification

Hands-on experience with AppSec tools (part or all) such as: SCA / SAST / SBOM Management / Container Security
Ability to build software pipelines with various DevOps tools
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructures - AWS / Azure / GCP - Mandatory
Hands-on experience with agentic development workflows and understanding of related technical elements: LLMs, MCPs, skills and prompts - Mandatory
Previous experience in software development role - is an advantage
French or German language skills are an advantage.
