We are looking for a researcher to join the R&D group that develops the DLP printer. The position summary (Insert Summary 2-3 lines)
Roles and responsibilities within this role:
Responsible for developing and testing concepts for the next generation of DLP printers.
Leading System development activities E2E from the definition stage till implementation, including requirements definition, simulations, planning, design, validation, and implementation
Defining, leading, and performing tests and research activities in R&D labs and on printers.
Improving printing sequence and the part quality via defining novel sequences\ algorithms and by process parameter manipulation
Point of knowledge for System aspects of the printing process requires an understanding of the mechanics, electronics, and printing SW
Defining high-level system requirements and software requirements for printers
Qualifying new system modules (DLP Projector, LCD screen, Diaphragms from different types of materials, technology and size, Automatic resin feeding system, mechanics, electronics, optics & SW)
Initiating new system-related ideas and innovations to support SSYS roadmap and future needs
Working in full alignment with all R&D matrix, project managers, Chemistry researchers, and system engineers.
Requirements: Applied Physicist (M.Sc.), Mechanical engineer (B.Sc.), or Electrical engineer (B.Sc.) from a leading university. (M.Sc. or Ph.D. preferred)
At least 5 years of experience as a leading Physicist in a multidisciplinary environment
Knowledge in system engineering and definition of system requirements
Familiarity with the design of experiments, data analysis, simulation tools, and programming: LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, and Finite Element Analysis
Ability to lead tasks, prioritize actions, and perform under tight deadlines
A team player with high motivation and good personal skills
Background in the printing industry, polymer chemistry, or material curing processes - an advantage
Travel required-10%.
