Agronomy Specialist for International Fresh Herb Farms.
We are seeking an experienced Agronomist with strong skills in initiating,managing, and implementing processes across various farm operations.This is a full-time position based in Israel, requiring a self-driven professionalwho will be actively involved in all aspects of the farm's activities.The role is both challenging and rewarding, with international travel asneeded.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive responsibility for farm operations and outcomes,including continuous focus on business development and innovation. Professional management of various crops, ensuring effective use ofresources (land, water, machinery, and labor). Development of an annual work plan and oversight of its implementation. Economic and business management of the farm, including planning andcontrol, negotiation, and ongoing work with suppliers, contractors, andother stakeholders both in Israel and abroad. Feasibility assessment and economic analysis of project tenders within thefarm. Creation of work plans and allocation of resources needed for differentcultivation areas. Leadership of change processes, infrastructure development, whileengaging managers and employees. Work transparently and collaboratively with various interfaces. Full responsibility for production processes, involvement from theplanning stage, through management and supervision of productionstages, cost pricing, profitability, and sales. Plant protectionpromote a holistic approach, monitoring, supervision,and providing operational guidance on pest management. Irrigation and fertilizationplanning, monitoring, and controllingirrigation and fertilization using computerized systems. Climate controlplanning, monitoring, and controlling the climate acrossall farm environments, including growing areas, heating, cooling, andventilation, as well as microclimate control around the plants and liaisingwith international experts.

Requirements: Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in agriculture, with asignificant advantage for experience in plant-based agriculture or herbs. Systemic thinking, experience in business development, and innovation inthe agricultural field. Economic understanding, knowledge, and experience in negotiation,planning, and budget control. Mandatory Agronomist certification.Social Skills: High implementation ability Self-taught Analytical thinking and dedication to the role Ability to handle multiple tasks Independent learning and ambition Passion for working with people Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy Good command of English speaking, reading, and writing.
Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain excellent interpersonalrelationships. Experience in growing herbs, leafy greens, vegetables, and fruits, with abackground in horticulture. Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) systems and irrigationcontrol systems. Technical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly. Proficiency in computer applications (Office suite). Proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing. Reporting to the farm owners.
