As a Product Manager , you will define how next-generation AI workloads interact with high-performance storage and networking systems.

This is a deep-tech product role at the core of our platform, where your decisions directly impact performance, scalability, and efficiency across large-scale AI environments.

Youll operate at the intersection of product, distributed systems, and hardware-aware infrastructure - shaping how modern data platforms are built and optimized.

As Senior Manager in the development organization, youll need to combine leadership, team building, technological problem solving, direct and matrix management, risk management, and career development of direct response to empower our most valuable asset - our engineers.

As a Senior Manager, youll:

Leading 2 squads in the protocols domains (S3, NFS, SMB) located in Israel and the US, whose mandate is mainly on the datapath aspects of the stacks, but not just.
Leading experienced developers, accountable for both development and quality aspects.
Grow the team and team leaders, and manage the career development of team members.
Be a direct address for everything related to teams activities and members.
Work closely with program management, product management, and other technical managers to lead the teams deliverables from planning to release.
Engage with PM and field teams to understand the requirements, pains, and what is required to move the needle.
Build and maintain the technical debt backlog and promote it into ongoing releases.
Assume nothing - constantly revisit how we work and whether our productivity is perfectly tuned.
Provide transparent progress and risk analysis.

You will be responsible for building the "brain" of Wekas main product, which is a distributed file system -the layer that manages orchestration, metadata, cluster membership, and implements complex logic required to manage hundreds of thousands of nodes, for cluster scaling, automated failover, zero-downtime rolling upgrades and "self-healing" to detect and remediate hardware failures or network partitions.

Design, implement, unit test, and maintain services that coordinate and the cluster
Optimize Performance: Work with complex data structures like spanning trees or LSM-Trees, concurrency control mechanisms (MVCC) to improve speed and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate backend capabilities into real-world impact
