We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our legal team. This is an amazing opportunity to join a fast-growing and dynamic organization. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a vital role in ensuring our organizations compliance with privacy laws. You will report to the VP Legal, and work closely with cross-functional teams to address privacy-related legal matters. This is a temporary position for a duration of one year, with an option for extension.
What You'll Do:
Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements and privacy-related contracts, including publishing and advertising agreements, data processing agreements, vendor agreements, employment agreements and other related documents.
Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams, including sales, business development, product, and finance, on a variety of legal and business issues.
Develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
Ensure that the Organizations legal interests are secured while supporting business growth and commercial goals.
Lead data breach incident response efforts, working with the Security and Product teams to investigate, mitigate, and report data breaches as required by law.
Identify potential legal risks and proactively develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring all commercial activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams - including IT, Security, Sales, Product, and HR, to develop and maintain robust protection measures and protocols, and support business objectives while maintaining legal integrity.
Provide guidance on evolving privacy laws and industry standards, and advise the organization on necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a commercial legal counsel, either in a leading law firm or a technology company.
3+ years of in-house counsel experience within a technology company - preferably in the AdTech industry, focusing on data privacy, security, and commercial contracts - an advantage.
Qualified lawyer in Israel with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a top-tier academic institution - A must.
Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a business context - an advantage.
Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification - an advantage.
Demonstrated business acumen, with a strategic and solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, combined with a sharp business mindset and strategic perspective.
Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong English skills, both written and spoken.
