Based in the Tel Aviv area (Holon), you will be part of the lead team of our Tel Aviv Metro Network Manager project with 100 staff in total. You will lead the engineering department of METAV including several teams in civil, structural, architecture, geotechnics, construction and tunnelling.
Under responsibility of the Project Director, your activities will include but not be limited to:
Lead the Consultants Design Team and coordinate all activities of the Design Teams members.
Promote and facilitate the Integration activities between the various disciplines.
Provide sound, justified and impartial information and guidance to the Client on all technical aspects of the Programme;
Pilot the 3 Line Managers (Designers) during the Development Phase (which covers initial, intermediate and reference design), participate actively to meetings with the Owner and the Line Managers, and then the Contractors.
Check the deliverables produced by the lines covering Technical and Design, and other related subjects.
Manage the Engineering Team of Metav (5-10 staff members) and coordinate with O&M, systems, Project control and procurement teams.
Requirements: To be considered for this position as Engineering Director we have the following requirements:
A bachelors or masters degree in traffic and transportation planning, civil engineering, architecture, or urban planning.
At least twenty (20) years of experience in the design of rail and mass transit projects (including passenger rail projects and metro line projects).
Experience in at least two (2) metro projects in design phase.
Previous experience managing a team of engineers.
Able to work in a collaborative manner, providing expert advice within a complex and multi-faceted project environment with multiple stakeholders.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
