About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to join our global medical device company. The successful candidate will lead IT operations with a strong focus on cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, service delivery, helpdesk management, and project execution. This role is critical to ensuring our IT systems remain secure, efficient, and future-ready, supporting our mission to deliver innovative healthcare solutions worldwide.
What you will be doing {responsibilities and duties}:
IT Operations & Infrastructure Manage and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability to support business growth. Guarantee compliance with corporate IT policies and medical device industry regulations. Cybersecurity Lead the companys cybersecurity strategy, policies, and tools to safeguard sensitive medical and business data. Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing. Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Cloud & Service Management Manage cloud environments (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud), ensuring security, cost optimization, and scalability. Implement service-oriented IT processes (ITIL framework) to improve reliability and efficiency. Oversee vendor and service provider relationships. helpdesk & Organizational Service Framework Lead and develop the IT helpdesk function, ensuring excellent user support and service quality. Establish and manage an organizational service framework to define, monitor, and improve IT service levels (SLAs/OLAs). Drive continuous improvement in IT support processes, knowledge base, and self-service tools. Innovation & Technology Enablement Identify, evaluate, and introduce emerging technologies to enhance IT operations, security, and User Experience. Promote automation, AI-driven tools, and modern collaboration platforms to streamline IT services. Act as a technology champion, driving innovation across the organization. Project Management Lead cross-functional IT projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution. Collaborate with business leaders to align IT initiatives with corporate strategy. Drive digital transformation projects to enhance collaboration, security, and productivity. Leadership & Team Management Supervise and mentor IT team members, including infrastructure and helpdesk staff. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing. Build strong relationships with global IT counterparts and local business leaders. Working according to our Quality Policy, relevant Quality Procedures & Standards, and privacy & safety rules.
Requirements: What you have:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Masters degree preferred). 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in a global company. Strong expertise in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud), networking, and enterprise systems. Proven experience in helpdesk management, IT service delivery, and service frameworks (ITIL/ISO standards). Demonstrated ability to bring innovation and new technologies into IT operations. Track record of successful IT project management in global or regulated environments. Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and other compliance standards relevant to medical devices and healthcare. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Fluency in English (written & spoken). Experience from a medical device company advantage.
