We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Direct Materials, to join our Global Direct Sourcing organization and play a pivotal role in shaping the supplier ecosystem behind our innovative medical technologies.
In this highly visible global individual contributor role, you will have end-to-end ownership of sourcing activities supporting both Direct Material categories and the Israel site, without direct people management responsibilities.
In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives across critical direct material and manufacturing categories that support our Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) products, including electronic manufacturing services, components, wearables, accessories, sterilization services, and engineering support.
As a key business partner, you will work at the intersection of Supply Chain, Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Legal, helping connect business needs with external supplier capabilities, technologies, and innovation opportunities. Your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, influence decision-making, and drive sourcing excellence will directly impact business performance, supply continuity, innovation, and long-term value creation.
What you will do
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across direct material and manufacturing-related categories, including electronic manufacturing services, components, contract sterilization services, engineering services, testing, calibration, and accessories
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with Novocures corporate objectives and Supply Chain KPIs, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, risk reduction, supplier diversification, and service enhancement
Lead supplier qualification, selection, negotiation, and contracting activities to ensure best total value for the organization
Coordinate end-to-end Source-to-Contract (S2C) activities for the Israel site, including sourcing intake, stakeholder alignment, RFx processes, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contract coordination, approval workflows, and implementation follow-up
Partner with business stakeholders and budget owners to understand demand, define sourcing requirements, validate assumptions, and align sourcing activities with business priorities
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of strategic sourcing experience within a regulated industry, including direct materials and services
Experience partnering with business leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, including Product Development and Engineering organizations
Deep understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including structured sourcing processes
Proven experience developing and executing sourcing strategies and delivering measurable business value
Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities
Knowledge of electronic manufacturing services and supplier ecosystems within MedTech, Life Sciences, or related industries
Experience leading cross-functional and virtual teams in local and global environments
Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency with SAP and advanced digital tools
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Strong business acumen with the ability to balance commercial objectives, risk management, and policy compliance
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and quality and regulatory requirements within regulated environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Fluency in English and Hebrew, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
