Job Summary
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the organization's end-to-end procurement function, combining strategic sourcing, supplier development, risk management, and operational procurement leadership to support business growth, supply chain resilience, and operational excellence.
Essential Functions
Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team responsible for day-to-day purchasing operations, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
Develop and lead the company's long-term procurement and sourcing strategy, aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers locally and globally to strengthen the supplier base and support business continuity.
Drive supplier development initiatives, including supplier qualification, audits, performance improvement programs, and onboarding processes.
Establish and implement dual-sourcing and multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and improve resilience.
Lead cost reduction and value optimization initiatives across direct and indirect procurement categories.
Perform spend analysis, should-cost modeling, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments to support strategic sourcing decisions.
Negotiate, establish, and manage framework agreements and strategic partnerships with preferred suppliers.
Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity and compliance.
Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Operations, R&D, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
Lead procurement excellence initiatives focused on process improvement, standardization, digitalization, and best practices.
Develop and monitor procurement KPIs, dashboards, and governance processes to drive performance, visibility, and accountability.
Requirements: Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial engineering or similar
At least 10 years of proven experience in managing multidisciplinary procurement required
Experience from manufacturing and design company in the medical device industry - advantage
