Required Silicon product, Test and Qual engineer (ISL)
We are a leading provider of ASICs for communication satellites as well as ground and airborne terminals.
Located in Israel, UK, Bulgaria, and US, we are a technology leader in satellite communication.
You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our silicon chips throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial design to mass production.
You will be part of VLSI department and work closely with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and quality teams to develop and implement test strategies, methodologies, and equipment to verify and validate the performance and reliability of silicon chips.
Your primary focus will be on developing efficient test programs, conducting thorough analysis, troubleshooting any issues, and implementing solutions to improve chip performance and yield.
Job description:
Test Program Development: Design and develop test programs and methodologies for silicon chips using automated test equipment (ATE) such as wafer sorters and final test.
Test Strategy Planning: Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to define test requirements, develop test plans and establish test strategies to ensure comprehensive chip testing.
Test Implementation: Implement test programs on ATE platforms, including test pattern generation, debugging, and optimization to meet quality and performance targets.
Data Analysis: Analyze test data and results to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies, and provide recommendations for improving chip performance, yield, and reliability.
Failure Analysis: Investigate and troubleshoot test failures, diagnose root causes, and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions to address issues.
Yield Enhancement: Develop and implement yield enhancement strategies and methodologies to maximize silicon chip yield and minimize manufacturing defects.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare test plans, reports, and documentation to communicate test methodologies, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) in all aspects of silicon chip qualification activities.
Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, IC design principles, and test methodologies.
Experience with ATE platforms such as Advantest, Teradyne, or LTX-Credence, and familiarity with test equipment interfaces and protocols.
Experience in mixed signal chips, including test programs for high-speed ADC/DAC/Serdes and large digital blocks
Experience with reliability testing methodologies, accelerated life testing (ALT), thermal cycling, humidity testing, and failure analysis techniques.
Knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards (e.g., JEDEC, IPC), and reliability standards (e.g., MIL-STD-883, IPC-9701) for semiconductor products.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and third parties.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, TCL, Perl.
This position is open to all candidates.
