This position will be based in our office in Israel (Airport City), reporting to Senior Manager Finance.
Position Purpose
The Assistant Controller supports the monthly financial close and reporting to the parent company, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial information. The role has direct responsibility for key accounting areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, royalties, and additional accounting processes. The Assistant Controller also leads departmental projects and supports the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and organizational processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accounting
Support the monthly closing process and prepare accurate and timely financial reporting packages for submission to the parent company.
Own and oversee key accounting areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, royalties, and other assigned accounting processes.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and balance sheet working papers.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of accounting issues within the assigned areas of responsibility.
Internal Controls and Compliance
Participate in the implementation, documentation, and testing of SOX internal controls.
Support the Controller in maintaining effective financial control processes and documentation.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory reporting standards.
Assist in improving internal processes and ensuring adherence to global governance frameworks.
Period-End and Analytical Support
Coordinate monthly closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, related-party and intercompany reconciliations, and review of key account balances.
Prepare the monthly reporting package and supporting analyses for the parent company in accordance with group deadlines and reporting requirements.
Investigate variances and unusual balances and follow through on required corrections.
Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration
Work closely with finance teams in subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely consolidation.
Collaborate with departments such as HR, Procurement, and Operations to maintain accurate accounting data.
Support system and process improvements within ERP and reporting platforms.
Special Projects
Lead finance department projects from planning through implementation, coordinating stakeholders, timelines, deliverables, and follow-up.
Lead or support the implementation of financial systems, reporting tools, automation solutions, and organizational processes.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, data quality, and operational efficiency, and drive their implementation.
Requirements: Requirements
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - mandatory.
At least 2 years of experience post-internship, preferably from a Big 5 firm - mandatory.
Experience in a public or multinational company - strong advantage.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Business Central- advantage).
Fluent English - spoken and written (corporate-level communication required).
Experience in MedTech / Pharma / Biotech - advantage.
