We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturers & Sub-Contractors Manager to lead and optimize our production operations across multiple hardware product lines and external manufacturing partners.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving production performance, improving manufacturing processes, implementing engineering changes, and ensuring high product quality and on-time delivery. Working closely with Operations, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and subcontractors, you will play a key role in scaling manufacturing operations and supporting our growing hardware product portfolio.
As part of your role, you will:
Lead day-to-day production operations across multiple hardware product lines and external manufacturing partners.
Drive manufacturing efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, improving production processes, and optimizing throughput.
Own and continuously improve production testing tools, fixtures, and testing methodologies to reduce cycle times and increase quality.
Manage production planning, work orders, priorities, and material readiness to support on-time delivery.
Lead MRB activities, including managing non-conforming materials, supplier returns, and disposition decisions.
Manage RMA processes, including repair operations, failure trend analysis, and resolution of recurring product issues.
Drive the implementation of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities in manufacturing environments.
Collaborate closely with Operations, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and subcontractors to ensure smooth production execution and continuous improvement.
Requirements: Requirements
5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, production management, or a related field.
Hands-on experience working with production lines and external manufacturers or subcontractors.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in hardware and electronics environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Experience managing MRB processes, RMA activities, and production issue resolution.
Proven experience implementing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in production environments.
Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
High level of ownership, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and PLM systems (Arena preferred).
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing ramp-up activities.
Familiarity with production testing tools, fixtures, and manufacturing process optimization.
