We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to head our Application Infrastructure Team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the development, maintenance, and evolution of the infrastructure that powers AT&Ts flagship applications. You will guide a talented group of engineers, drive technological innovation, and ensure robust, scalable, and secure systems supporting millions of users.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Application Infrastructure Team through all phases of the development lifecycle, from planning to production, focusing on operational excellence, delivery, and business impact.
Define and uphold non-functional requirements, including performance, security, resiliency, scalability, and operability for all application infrastructure components.
Collaborate closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and Scrum teams to align infrastructure initiatives with product goals.
Mentor, guide, and empower team members; foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Serve as a technical SME and focal point for infrastructure processes, tools, patterns, and best practices.
Engage with enterprise architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to discuss trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.
Stay up to date on emerging infrastructure technologies and trends; proactively recommend and implement improvements.
Requirements: Requirements:
5+ years of experience leading engineering teams and managing application infrastructure, backend platforms.
Expertise in backend development and infrastructure using technologies such as Java Spring, Node.js, including designing and operating scalable, highly available systems.
Deep understanding of containerization, orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with data platforms, databases (SQL and NoSQL), data warehouse design, and modern data processing pipelines.
Proven track record of implementing security, compliance, and privacy practices within infrastructure (network security, authentication/authorization, data protection).
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and managed cloud services.
Proven experience with GenAI patterns (prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG) and integrating AI/ML solutions into infrastructure.
Experience with Agentic AI concepts and tools, including hands-on work with autonomous agent frameworks (e.g., Lang Chain, Autogeny), multi-agent systems, and the integration of agentic workflows into enterprise infrastructure.

Demonstrated experience in team leadership, mentoring, and talent development.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong collaboration skills across global teams and stakeholders.
