SOC Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a seasoned engineer to work directly with customers, helping them develop solutions for their ASIC/SoC designs using the IP portfolio. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in ASIC/SoC design, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to customer success. You will work across various market segments, foundries (TSMC, Samsung, GlobalFoundries, etc.), and process technologies ranging from 2nm to 40nm.
What you will do
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to identify and understand customers technical and business challenges.
Develop tailored strategies and solutions for customers by leveraging the broad IP portfolio.
Work directly with customers to ensure IP products meet their requirements, and assist them in evaluating IP options.
Influence IP product development roadmap by communicating customer needs to product R&D teams.
Support customer engagements through on-site or remote technical interactions, including providing demos, supporting evaluations, resolving technical problems, addressing competitive challenges, and maintaining regular status updates.
Requirements: - BSEE or MSEE with demonstratable relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of the latest SoC architectures and system-level design practices in one or more market segments (HPC, AI, mobile, storage, automotive, networking, IoT).
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art SoC design implementation, including:
- RTL design and verification using Verilog or SystemVerilog
- Synthesis, static timing analysis, physical design flow, test bench creation, and simulation
- Some exposure to analog/mixed-signal design and verification flows
- Basic understanding of package, D2D, and PCB design flows/technologies
- Willingness and ability to travel within Israel and internationally (approximately 1530% of the time)
- Strong technical communication skills, including:
- Ability to understand and present complex technical requirements, problems, and solutions in both verbal and written form
- Ability to analyze, summarize, and generate status updates from technical data
- Ability to organize, conduct, and coordinate meetings with internal and external teams
- Experience or technical familiarity with interface and connectivity protocols, such as PCIe, DDR, USB, MIPI, HDMI, SATA, Die-to-Die, Ethernet, and AMBA.
- Experience in selecting, using, designing, or supporting internal or external IP.
- Prior experience in an application engineering or other direct customer-facing role.
