The Project Manager (PM) Detection is responsible for delivering diverse projects (work packages, low/medium projects, and major projects) through effective project management methodologies. This includes leading integrated project teams within a matrix organization to achieve successful project outcomes across Commercial and Technology spheres.
Project Management:
Oversee all project phases: initiation, planning, monitoring, control, and closure, adhering to the Product Lifecycle Process where relevant.
Lead integrated or cross-functional teams to meet deadlines within budget, following Program Excellence processes and maintaining records in designated databases.
Ensure project artefacts (e.g., Work Breakdown Structure, time/resource planning, risk/change controls) match project needs.
Establish and maintain cost/schedule baselines, managing risk and change control.
Conduct monthly variance analyses, track corrective actions, and present updates at project reviews.
Foster collaboration across teams and integrate Commercial and Technology projects for optimal end-to-end delivery.
Commercial Projects:
Participate in tenders by preparing compliance matrices and clarifying risks.
Manage customer negotiations on deliverables, budget, and schedule.
Oversee stakeholder management during execution, ensuring delivery aligns with contract terms.
Manage finance, including revenue recognition, and ensure seamless handover to service and manufacturing teams.
Address field service issues and product complaints as required.
People and Talent Management:
Promote disciplined project management across global teams, coordinating diverse skills and competencies to achieve project goals.
Foster inclusive project environments that support success.
Commercial Accountability:
Use industry best practices for project monitoring and control, ensuring customer commitments are met, and project outcomes align with business goals.
Policies and Procedures:
Ensure compliance with Ethics, Health, Safety, and Environment policies.
Support the standardization of Programme Lifecycle and Product Lifecycle processes within the global business framework
Requirements: At least 6 years experience, working as a project manager, responsible on all deliverables from initiation to completion.
Degree in Business/Project Management or Technology/Engineering; PMP certification is an advantage
Strong grasp of project management (e.g., Waterfall, Agile), project controls, and planning methodologies.
Familiarity with integrated technology systems and cross-functional operations (R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft tools, SAP, MS Project, Power BI, and risk/change management software.
Proven experience across the full project lifecycle in engineering/technology or construction/infrastructure environments.
Strong communication, people management, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective leader with strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing multicultural teams in a matrix environment.
Highly organized, with attention to detail and the ability to operate independently within delegated authority.
Skilled in planning, decision-making, and influencing project governance activities.
Responsible for multiple low/medium and some major projects, where delays or issues could result in significant resource expenditures.
Portfolio Heads, Global Programmes Director, Programme Excellence Centre, Commercial Finance Teams, Project Controls, and customer/supplier representatives.
