Required Backend Engineer - Billing Platform
Job Description
As a Backend Engineer, youll join the team responsible for our Billing Platform, a core system serving millions of active subscription users at massive scale. Our mission is to build the next-generation billing system at a flexible and scalable platform that supports multiple verticals, diverse business models, and modern payment and subscription flows.
In your day-to-day, you will:
Design, build, and maintain backend systems that support millions of subscriptions and high-traffic payment flows
Take part in shaping the new Billing architecture, supporting multiple verticals and flexible payment models
Lead and contribute to architectural and design decisions in a complex distributed microservices environment
Improve existing systems by addressing scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability challenges
Build API-first services that integrate with multiple internal platforms and external payment providers
Use data and AI-assisted tooling to optimize flows, analyze production behavior, and reduce operational overhead

Requirements: 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer
Strong background in system design and architecture, with hands-on experience building large-scale systems
Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and SOLID principles
Experience working with microservices architectures and distributed systems
Passion for clean code, design quality, and Test-Driven Development
Experience working on high-scale, high-availability production systems
Curiosity and openness to using AI tools to improve development workflows, debugging, and system understanding
Strong communication skills in English; Hebrew is an advantage
A team player with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
