The Cloud and Virtualization Engineer key responsibilities will be to design, develop, implement, monitor and maintain hybrid environment including Microsoft (Azure), Amazon (AWS), Google (GCP) and VMware cloud-based solutions to meet our expanding business needs to implement a diverse multi-cloud environment.
End to end ownership on all cloud and virtualization domains and services
Administration of hybrid-environment which includes local datacenters and multiple private and public Cloud environments and services related to compute, storage, network, and security
Manage and execute cloud solutions from conceptual design to implementation and through its life cycle
Design and development of new Cloud service offerings including documentation and scoping

We are seeking an experienced network engineer to design, document, deploy and operate our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with FortiGate firewalls, Cisco Wi-Fi and networking equipment, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and a range of network technologies, including routers and switches.

This individual should consistently act with empathy, always displaying a customer orientation. Execution is key, and the ability of this individual to take action on their own with little input or direction from leadership is key. The individual should have demonstrable, extensive experience designing and operating datacenter infrastructure, network, and compute.

The right individual for this role lives by an automation-first philosophy. If a problem or question occurs more than once, the right solve is not to perform the work twice, but to perform it once and automate it the second time. The person lives and breathes scale, and considers every ask and action in the context of how far this requirement will scale in the future. Finally, the individual does all of this securely, ensuring that intellectual property and that of its customers always remains secure.

Responsibilities:
Design, document, deploy and operate the network.
Work closely with the Lab team to drive automation into every aspect of datacenter and infrastructure management, creating a true self-service IaaS/CaaS offering for the company.
Evaluate, test, select, install and configure network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability using automated data-gathering, display, and alerting tools.
Provide an automated, self-service lab environment offering to support our software development and testing efforts.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and security issues, including hardware and software problems.
Collaborate with other IT professionals to develop and implement network security measures.
Conduct regular network maintenance, including updating software and hardware.
Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Mentor and lead other team members to drive increased and broad expertise within your focus areas.
Work closely with our CISO team to implement the security tools.

What Youll Be Doing:
IT Leadership & Hands-On Execution
Lead, mentor, and develop a small but highly effective IT team while remaining hands-on with technical implementations.
Manage a mixed Mac & PC environment, ensuring secure, high-performance, and effective user support.
Oversee IT projects from initial planning through execution, including new system deployments, upgrades or replacement of existing systems, implementation of security protocols, disaster recovery (DR) initiatives, automation efforts, and other strategic technology enhancements.
Cloud & Infrastructure Management
Own and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including networking architecture, NAT gateways, firewalls, IAM access control, RBAC, networking, and security controls.
Deploy and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Kubernetes to ensure automated, scalable deployments.
Oversee Office 365 administration, including email, collaboration tools, and identity management.
Manage cloud provisioning, networking, and security controls, ensuring best practices in architecture, performance, and cost efficiency.
Security, Compliance & Zero Trust
Implement and maintain a Zero Trust security model (ZTNA), endpoint protection, and access controls.
Administer Identity & Access Management (IAM) policies, ensuring secure, role-based access to cloud and internal systems.
Secure corporate and cloud networks, managing firewalls, VPNs, DNS filtering, intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS), and threat monitoring solutions.
Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and other security and compliance frameworks.
Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
Help Desk & IT Operations
Oversee and improve help desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of IT support issues in a hybrid/remote work environment.
Manage IT asset inventory, software licensing, and endpoint deployment across Mac, Windows, and mobile devices.
Optimize identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, and automated onboarding/offboarding processes.
Implement IT automation for support workflows, access controls, and patch management.
Strategic Planning & Budget Management
Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing costs while ensuring high-quality technology investments.
Evaluate, select, and implement new technologies and IT solutions to enhance productivity, security, and efficiency.
Partner with executive leadership, security teams, and other departments to align IT strategy with business objectives.
