We are looking for an HSE Manager (Owners Engineer) to ensure the EPC contractor and all project participants comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout the power plant project. The HSE Manager provides oversight, audits, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance during construction and commissioning.
- Represent the Owner on all HSE matters.
- Review and approve the EPC contractors HSE plans, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and audit HSE performance per local regulations and international standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Conduct site inspections, issue non-conformance reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Participate in HSE meetings and incident investigations.
- Interface with local authorities as require
- Prepare HSE performance reports for the Owners Project Management Team.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a
related field.
Recognized HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, CSP, CMIOSH, OSHA certifications) required.
8-10 years of HSE experience in major construction projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership
role on large-scale projects. Experience on power plant projects (CCPP, coal, solar, wind, etc.) is
advantage.
Strong knowledge of local labor laws, environmental regulations, and international HSE
standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence and drive a strong safety culture across all levels of project organization
Experience working on EPC or Owners Engineer (OE) projects is highly preferred.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and across cultures.
Fluent in Hebrew and English
