Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer to join our robotics team as a mechanical engineer, with a strong background in actuators, mechanisms, and dynamic robotic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Own the mechanical design from concept through production for robotic subsystems.
Own detailed part and assembly design (machined parts, sheet metal, mechanisms)
Perform tolerance stack-up and GD&T analysis for functional assemblies.
Design and integrate mechanical systems with motors, gearboxes, sensors, and wiring
Drive prototypes, lab or field testing, and design iterations
Support transition to production, including NPI and production line support
Work independently, make engineering decisions, and close open design loops.
Internal Interfaces - electronics, SW, and AI teams
External - suppliers and subcontractors
Requirements: Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
4+ years of hands-on product design experience
Proven experience designing machined parts, sheet metal parts, and mechanisms
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for metal and plastic parts
In-depth experience with SolidWorks, PDM, and working in a design-controlled environment
Solid understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple design threads
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset
Nice to have
Experience designing robotic systems or dynamic mechanisms
Experience working with motors, PCBs, and electro-mechanical systems
Experience with wiring and harness design
Experience supporting production lines and NPI
