We are seeking a Senior Carbon Program Lead (IC) to direct the methodological, technical, and data -driven aspects of our carbon program - including methodology application, soil sampling oversight, data management, and verification documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Monitoring Reports and manage verification with VVBs and the registry.
- Serve as internal methodology authority and track registry updates.
- Review and validate GHG calculations for methodology alignment.
- Develop and oversee SOPs for soil sampling and lab analysis.
- Ensure lab and partner operations meet QA / QC requirements.
- Build technical partnerships with labs and research institutions.
- Drive AI tool integration to streamline data validation.
- Collaborate with agronomists and MRV teams for accurate GHG quantification.
- Engage with the registry and peer groups to shape methodology.
Requirements: - PhD or Master's degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in carbon project development under Verra or similar standards (Expert level is a strong advantage).
- Advanced technical knowledge of soil carbon measurement, GHG accounting, and MRV systems.
- Extensive hands-on experience in SOP development, lab QA / QC management, and data verification.
- High proficiency in data analysis and modeling; familiarity with AI/GenAI tools.
- Strong technical and analytical writing skills, with high proficiency in English.
- Exceptional scientific and methodological accuracy; analytical and data -driven mindset.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple tasks and stakeholder interfaces simultaneously.
- Highly process-oriented with strong self-managed workflow and organizational skills.
