Groundwork BioAg is seeking a Carbon Program Specialist to lead the standard-related, technical, and data -driven aspects of our carbon program. The role involves ensuring data accuracy and methodological integrity across all stages from soil sampling and lab analysis to carbon quantification and verification with Verra while keeping full alignment with the latest methodology updates and collaborating closely with teammates, partners, and laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as Groundworks expert on Verra methodologies and carbon standards.
* Develop and maintain SOPs for soil sampling and lab procedures.
* Ensure partner and lab operations meet QA&QC requirements.
* Lead Monitoring Report preparation and coordinate with VVBs and Verra.
* Build collaborations with labs, research institutions, and digital partners.
* Implement tools to streamline and validate
Requirements: * M.Sc. in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* 3-4 years of experience in carbon project development (Verra or similar).
* Strong background in soil carbon measurement, GHG accounting, and MRV systems.
* Experience with SOPs, lab QA / QC, data verification, and analysis.
* Familiarity with data modeling and AI/GenAI tools.
* Excellent analytical, technical writing, and English communication skills.
