Required Electric Propulsion Engineer
Why this role exists:
We exist to make urban flight quiet enough that cities say yes. In electric aircraft, once aerodynamic sources are suppressed, the drivetrain can become what remains: torque ripple, radial force harmonics, and inverter switching rise toward the dominant tones an observer on the ground hears. This role owns the electric propulsion system as an acoustic source - you will design motors and drives where electromagnetic noise is a first-order requirement, traded with the same rigor as power density, efficiency, and mass.
What you'll own:
Design and analyze motor electromagnetics with torque ripple, cogging torque, and radial force harmonics treated as hard requirements alongside efficiency and power density.
Develop inverter modulation and current-control strategies - including harmonic injection and active ripple compensation - that suppress electromagnetic excitation before it becomes radiated tone.
Build and validate multiphysics models chaining electromagnetic force prediction through structural transfer paths to radiated noise, correlated against dyno and vehicle data.
Plan and execute dyno test campaigns with synchronized electrical, vibration, and acoustic instrumentation, owning the data pipeline from raw capture to engineering verdict.
Integrate motors, inverters, and mounts into the vehicle's novel lift and propulsion architecture, working structure-borne transmission paths jointly with the Structures and Acoustics teams.

Required Senior Flight Control Engineer
Why this role exists:
Most flight control teams optimize for handling qualities and margins, then hand the result to acousticians and hope. The causality runs the other way: how the vehicle moves - its transients, its trajectories through a city - is a dominant term in its acoustic signature. This role exists to put a senior control engineer at the point where those decisions are made, owning control laws in which noise is a hard design constraint alongside stability and performance, not a downstream measurement.
What you'll own:
Design, implement, and tune the vehicle's core control laws in MATLAB/Simulink, with acoustic-source models embedded directly in the design loop.
Develop control strategies that treat radiated noise as a hard constraint alongside stability margins and handling qualities, through every phase of flight.
Build and maintain the nonlinear 6-DOF simulation environment used for control design, Monte Carlo robustness analysis, and pre-flight rehearsal of every test point.
Define attitude, rate, and trajectory constraints for noise-critical flight phases - departure, approach, and low-altitude operations over populated areas - jointly with the Acoustics team.
Autocode flight-critical control software to the real-time flight computer and verify it through processor-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop campaigns.
Plan and execute flight test campaigns: write test cards, monitor telemetry in real time, and lead post-flight reconciliation of data against model predictions.
Run system identification programs that anchor aerodynamic, actuator, and noise-source models in flight data, feeding corrections back into the next control law release.
Lead control law design reviews with documented stability margins, robustness analyses, and failure-mode behavior, building the evidence base certification authorities will eventually audit.

Required Systems Integration Engineer
Why this role exists
On most aircraft programs, systems engineering keeps the weight, power, and safety budgets honest. There is a fourth budget - noise - and it is the one the company lives or dies by, flowed down through every interface, mount, harness, and duty cycle on the vehicle. This role exists because a roughly 4 acoustic advantage is an architecture claim until someone turns it into a closed set of vehicle-level requirements, traces every one to a subsystem owner, and walks the verification evidence onto the flight line.
What you'll own:
Own requirements flow-down from vehicle-level acoustic, performance, and safety targets to subsystem specifications under an ARP4754A-aligned development process.
Author and control interface definitions across structures, propulsion, avionics, and software - including the vibration, isolation, and acoustic constraints most ICDs never carry.
Build and maintain the vehicle requirements and verification database with full bidirectional traceability from stakeholder need to test evidence, and defend it in audits.
Plan and run integration campaigns on the systems bench and iron bird: power-on sequencing, interface checkout, fault injection, and end-to-end functional verification before anything flies.
Lead ground and flight test campaigns as the vehicle-level V&V owner - define test objectives, success criteria, and instrumentation requirements, then reconcile measured results against requirements line by line.
Chair cross-subsystem integration reviews and arbitrate trades where a decibel saved in one subsystem costs mass, power, or schedule in another.
