In this role you will
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including customer agreements, vendor agreements, partnership/referral/consulting agreements, and NDAs.
Enhance Empathys privacy program to comply with various privacy laws and regulations (such as CCPA, Israeli privacy laws, HIPAA) and provide ongoing guidance on data protection and privacy issues.
Collaborate closely with teams across the organization (such as Product, R&D, Partner Success) to address legal needs and implement best practices.
Build out Empathys legal roadmap for entering new markets and execute roadmap implementation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the companys operations.

What Youll Be Doing

Advanced Complaints Handling: Manage escalated client complaints that involve regulatory interpretations or potential ombudsman (FOS/FOI) involvement.
Regulatory Liaison: Assist in drafting formal responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and audit findings from global regulators.
