we are seeking a HW Board Design Engineer for Test and Qualification team.
Your Impact

You will be responsible for hardware board design activities with a strong focus on test, qualification, and readiness for production. This role spans all phases of hardware development, from architecture and design through bring-up, validation, and qualification:

Define hardware architecture and board-level design strategy with test, qualification, SI, and PI requirements in mind

Oversee schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection

Review designs for quality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, testability (DFM/DFT), signal integrity (SI), and power integrity (PI)

Own test readiness, including support for bring-up, debugging, validation, and qualification

Work closely with FW, SW, mechanical, QA, test, and manufacturing teams

Drive design reviews, SI/PI risk analysis, and technical decision-making

Support transition from prototype to qualified hardware and production release

Ensure compliance with relevant standards and qualification requirements

Spearhead innovative switch system design, guiding the process from concept through to mass production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in areas such as board design, mechanics, thermal, PCB layout, production, software/firmware, RTL, and more.
Act as the technical focal point and decision-maker for the project.
Conduct hands-on testing in a lab environment and support production and qualification stages.
Define product specifications, develop electrical schematics, and guide component selection and layout processes.

The Test & Product team is responsible for keeping a target of a very aggressive cost limit of the production testing (wafer sort) while performing comprehensive testing of all the units functionalities. This involves:
Development of the tests using the Teradyne UF tester.
Development of unique and advanced test HW.
Monitoring and analyses the production data.
FA (Failure Analysis) when issues are discovered.
Innovative DFT (design for testability) with the design team.

Responsibilities:
Development of wafer sort test programs through a close relationship with the system team.
Development of the future products DFT and DFM through close collaboration with the design team.
Improvement of the production data analysis and reports through close relationships with the cloud and data teams.
Working with the external abroad test houses.
Decision-making based on massive data analysis (pass criteria, improvements of the tests, identification of failures).
Integrate new and innovative testing methods for a new technology sector.
Specify and work with external vendors for the tester HW (Probe-card and Load-board).
Specify and work with external vendors for the HTOL HW, test program.

Your Impact

As an Experienced DFT Engineer, you will:

Own and drive DFT execution across the full product lifecycle, from pre-silicon design through post-silicon debug and production qualification.

Define and align DFT architecture and strategy in close collaboration with chip architects, design, and verification teams.

Oversee and contribute hands-on to the implementation of DFT features, including ATPG, scan insertion and compression, and memory BIST.

Lead silicon debug activities and root-cause analysis, driving corrective actions to improve yield, reliability, and test quality.

Establish, standardize, and evolve DFT methodologies and best practices across projects.

Join the PHY system team , a pivotal part of silicon development. Our team focuses on the PHY and system aspects of our devices, including PHY firmware, calibrations, system definitions, operations, and post-silicon validation.

Key responsibilities include:

Working with the latest silicon technologies and processes to build large-scale, complex devices at the forefront of feasibility.
Contributing to the development of PHY firmware and system calibrations.
Participating in system definitions, operations, and post-silicon validation activities.

You'll be joining our Silicon One Signal & power Integrity team, which is at the center of the silicon development at Cisco. Our SIPI engineers deal with all system development aspects and deliver detailed specifications to other development team. As SIPI engineer youll be required to design and analyze high speed analog/digital signals for networking products, with emphasis on high speed signal and power analysis of ASIC, Package and PCB. Model/simulate/characterize high speed systems, including high speed I/Os, chip packages, printed circuit boards, and system interconnects. Overcome the challenges of ultra-high data rate and cutting-edge technology. We use the latest silicon technologies and processes to build largest scale and most complex devices at the edge of feasibility.

The Design for Test (DFT) team is part of the design group, which focuses on logic design, RTL development, and running verification tests. Their main role is to design test structures embedded within the chip to ensure proper functionality after manufacturing. The goal is to detect potential manufacturing defects with maximum efficiency and filter out faulty units before they reach the market.

The ideal candidate is friendly, social, easygoing, with a good sense of humor, and has the ability to learn independently. They should be located in central\north Israel (Tel-Aviv\Caesarea). Strong independent work skills and job stability are important.



What You'll Do

Work in a small, agile team with an intimate atmosphere that offers direct mentoring and broad professional growth. Insert DFT logic, perform synthesis, and run Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG) to ensure hardware testability. Execute Gate Level Simulations, timing checks, and DRC checks to maintain rigorous design integrity and performance standards. Run regressions and perform deep-dive debugging on simulation failures as part of the core verification process.

* Manage and build a world class team managing ASIC design, micro-arch, SDC constraints and integration efforts of the project.
* Translate high level goals to measurable plans and milestones. Lead RTL design, quality checks, and manage schedule for on-time delivery of key IPs.
* Work with verification and physical design teams to achieve high quality design.
* Interface with IP teams and manage schedule and delivery of IPs for successful TO.
* Guide and mentor junior engineers as required.
* Hire and retain tier one engineers and foster teamwork with cross functional collaboration.

You'll be joining our Physical Design team within Silicon One, which is responsible for the entire backend methodology and flow development from RTL to GDS. This is a critical part of the group leading the development of high-quality VLSI designs.

Our Backend Engineers handle all aspects of chip design, including Definition, Physical Synthesis, Place and Route, Optimization, Timing Closure, Design Floor Planning.

You will be the tech lead for CAD within the team, leveraging your extensive backend and physical design experience to drive the development, optimization, and innovation of CAD methodologies and tools, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in our chip design flows from RTL to GDS.

We demonstrate the latest silicon technologies and processes to build the largest-scale and most complex devices, pushing the boundaries of feasibility.

You'll be joining our Physical Design team within Silicon One, which is responsible for the entire backend methodology and flow development from RTL to GDS. This is a critical part of the group leading the development of high-quality VLSI designs.

Our Backend Engineers handle all aspects of chip design, including Definition, Physical Synthesis, Place and Route, Optimization, Timing Closure, Design Floor Planning.

You will be leveraging your backend and physical design experience to drive the development, optimization, and innovation of CAD methodologies and tools, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in our chip design flows from RTL to GDS.
