Carrar is seeking an experienced Vice President of R&D to lead our multidisciplinary research and development efforts. This executive role is central to developing and scaling our battery and thermal management technologies. The VP will manage all R&D functions-including thermal systems, heat transfer, mechanical design, control algorithms, and data analysis-ensuring alignment with Carrars business strategy and product roadmap.
Location: Sderot, Israel (on-site, full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the R&D roadmap in alignment with commercial, product, and operational goals.
Technology Development: Lead development of Carrars core technologies, including advanced battery modules and two-phase thermal systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Project Management, Procurement, and Admin to ensure seamless development
Requirements: 10+ years of experience in R&D leadership roles in battery systems, power electronics, or thermal management
Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)
Proven track record of bringing hardware technologies from prototype to production
Experience in automotive or energy sectors, including standards and certifications is a major advantage
Strong domain expertise in thermal systems, electrochemistry, fluid dynamics, and mechanical integration
