Our Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel is an independent, non-partisan socioeconomic research institute.
The Center provides decision makers and the public with research and findings on some of the most critical issues facing Israel in the areas of education, health, welfare, labor markets and economic policy in order to impact the decision-making process in Israel and to advance the well-being of all Israelis.
The Centers Strategic Partnerships team seeks a Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships who will play a significant role in the implementation of a comprehensive strategy for resource development. Aspects of this role include cultivating current donor relationships and gift renewals, working with the board and other involved stakeholders to identify and promote new development opportunities, planning and accompanying events and lectures, tracking and organizing department activities, and more.
Responsibilities:
Maintain regular contact with current Center individual and foundation donors and board members, together with Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships Develop and manage donor engagement content on an ongoing basis webinars, calls, emails and in-person events.
Organize meetings and visits of donors, board members, and potential donors to the Center.
Coordination of talks including arranging our Center speakers, negotiating their time, preparing materials for distribution, securing participant lists in advance, and prepping the speaker.
Active attendance at talks including collecting participants contact information and seeking out further cultivation opportunities.
Assist Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships with implementation of the Center's resource development strategy.
Serve as lay leadership lead responsible for preparing board communications and resolutions, registration of new Board and General Assembly members, scheduling and preparing materials for Board and General Assembly meeting, and writing meeting protocols.
Organize international travel for our Center staff includes identifying relevant communities and contacting key players; approaching and arranging lectures and private meetings; preparing materials in advance with the assistance of Donor Relations Coordinator.
Travel abroad to accompany select trips on the ground.
Assist in production of our Center events and conferences, as needed, including board meetings Occasionally read and edit materials written by Grants and Donor Relations Coordinator.
Research and identify new donor prospects, both abroad and in Israel, in order to expand the donor database Other tasks, as determined in conjunction with the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships.
This is a full-time position based in Jerusalem, with possible work-at-home flexibility for part of the week for the right candidate.
Projected Start Date: June 12.
Requirements: Close identification with the Center mission.
Relevant work experience, preferably three to five years at a non-profit organization in a development capacity.
Knowledge of Israels fundraising landscape a plus.
English mother tongue required; Hebrew high level required.
Excellent English communication capabilities, both oral and written. Ability to work independently.
Working knowledge of Salesforce and Excel preferred.
Availability to travel abroad.
Team player, with willingness to help other organizational functions when necessary.
