we are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead our new Backend Infra team. This team will be responsible for the infrastructural aspects of our product, as well as the development and maintenance of internal services and libraries used by our R&D squads. This team will serve as a force multiplier, allowing our squads to focus on their business domains while the Backend Infra team handles the infrastructure-heavy tasks.
Your role will be to form this new team, hire the right engineers to execute this vision, and lead the development of these critical features and services. From inception to architectural decisions and all the way to production, you will be responsible for driving these initiatives.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can set the standards, guidelines, and best practices for backend development across the organization. You will lay the foundation for how we write backend code and work on improving our development processes by integrating new AI tools and streamlining our workflows.

Lead a team of BE and fullstack engineers.

Requirements:
At least 10 years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Software Engineer.
Proven experience of at least 2 years in leadership role - Team Lead or Tech Lead.
Strong technical background and professional experience in backend development. Experience with Node.js and TypeScript is a must.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.
Passion for creating new products, understanding client needs and thriving for impact.
Fluent English speaker (verbal and written communication is a must).
B.Sc. in Computer Science, or military equivalent certifications.

This role requires deep technical expertise in real-time distributed systems, modern software practices, and a strong leadership presence to guide a multidisciplinary software team from architecture through delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead system design of a modular, real-time, geospatial C2 system involving track fusion, multi-sensor integration, and operator interfaces.
* Own and manage the software development lifecycle: requirements breakdown, architecture definition, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
* Coordinate efforts across frontend (React/Cesium) backend (C++/DDS) , and integration/QA teams.

* Strong coding background in C++ , with experience in Command & Control systems.
* Familiarity with modern frontend stacks (e.g., React, CesiumJS, WebSocket integration).
* Experience with Windows real-time Linux , containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices.
* Understanding of air defense, aerospace, or military systems – including sensor integration, data fusion, or tactical displays.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to coordinate across disciplines and manage conflict constructively.
