The Data Platform team directly supports our company's data-driven approach by providing our data users with relevant platforms to make good use of our data.
We provide data systems all across the data stack, from self service analytics & media ingestion to real-time event processing and even a/b tests and more, all while maintaining user privacy combined with cost-efficient solutions.
What you will be doing
Work together with the different data producers and data consumers within the company and the data organization in order to understand their needs and work processes regarding their data and API needs and limitations.
Develop a deep understanding of the companys vision and strategic planning and make sure our data infrastructure is built to support the same ideas.
Identify bottlenecks in internal data processes and work to resolve them by planning and delivering technological solutions such as automating processes, optimizing data delivery and storage, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, integrating external tools, etc.
Integrate new tools and solutions that can empower the companys data consumers and help assimilate them.
Lead a team of senior data engineers in providing a set of technological solutions that best fit business needs.
Have full responsibility for data compliance in the organization and lead the design and implementation of data compliance and privacy processes.
Requirements: 2+ years leading and mentoring technical teams, driving projects from concept to delivery, and aligning engineering efforts with business goals in dynamic, cross-functional environments
5+ years of hands-on work designing, building, and optimizing scalable, high-availability backend systems
Skilled in architecting data-intensive systems that support large-scale processing and analysis
Proficient in managing workloads on major cloud platforms
Strong programming background in Python, Java, Scala, or other modern languages
Comfortable navigating rapidly evolving tech stacks and collaborating with diverse teams across functions
Familiar with global privacy and security standards (GDPR, CCPA, SOC, etc.), with a solid understanding of privacy-first development practices
Preferred Requirements
Experience with SQL, data modeling, and relational databases as well as a deep understanding of ETL and data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and frameworks.
Functional programming and streaming systems experience, including hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing stream processing (Flink, Storm, Spark Streaming, etc.) or functional systems.
Experience running payloads at a major scale, handling tens of thousands of events per second and dozens of sources.
