Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Lead a team of high-performing researchers to develop innovative algorithmic solutions that support and advance our medical device from the fields of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Image Processing
- Represent the algorithm team in global forums and communicate ongoing progress, key results, risks, and challenges to global stakeholders
- Lead the algorithm development lifecycle: research, design, implement, validate, document and optimize algorithms for our products
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to algorithm developers; conduct design/code reviews and ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables
- Partner with Data, Software, Systems, Clinical, and Product teams to define requirements, plan milestones, manage risks, and drive end-to-end delivery from prototyping to production
Requirements: Required Knowledge and Experience:
- MSc. or PhD in Computer Science/Software Engineering/EE/other relevant field - MUST
- Proficiency and proven experience in developing, optimizing, validating, and deploying machine learning algorithms, deep learning techniques, and AI models to production
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on AI advancements and trends
- 7+ years of R&D experience (algorithms / ML), including ownership of end-to-end delivery
- Proven leadership experience (team lead / tech lead), including mentoring, prioritization, and driving execution across multiple stakeholders
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python (ability to lead by example with production-quality code)
- Team player with very strong leadership and communication skills; able to influence and align across R&D and cross-functional stakeholders
- Structured problem solver with sound technical judgment and data-driven decision making
- High ownership: able to plan, prioritize, and drive tasks end-to-end while unblocking others and managing risks
