A startup in Tel aviv, building an ML-driven platform, is growing, aiming to fully automate and self-manage network infrastructure. Small team of 20 people, strong engineers, real technical depth. The work is in Tel aviv (train line) 3-4 days in the office.
The role
Hands-on Senior backend Engineer to build core infrastructure, high-throughput, low-latency, distributed systems.
Youll design, build systems at scale. Own backend components end-to-end (design to production).
Build scalable microservices in a distributed environment
Work mainly with JAVA (Spring), alongside Python (Node/Typescripts when needed)
Solve real problems in performance, concurrency, and reliability
Take part in architecture decisions and push technical standards
Requirements: What theyre looking for
Strong backend engineer who has actually built and scaled systems in production
Comfortable going deep, debugging, performance.
Independent, opinionated, takes ownership
Startup mindset, moves fast
Must have
Bsc / BA in Computer Science, Msc is a plus.
7+ years backend experience
Strong JAVA + Spring / Spring Boot
Experience with distributed systems / microservices
Docker + Kubernetes (production)
Cloud experience
Solid networking fundamentals
PostgreSQL or similar
