Carrar is seeking a Product-Oriented Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of battery systems, from concept through production release. This role emphasizes robust, manufacturable design of battery modules and systems, and hands-on support through prototyping, validation, and industrialization.
Location: Sderot, Israel (on-site, full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical architectures for battery modules and systems, including enclosures, frames, compression systems, mounts, and safety features.
Own mechanical design from concept, detailed design, and prototyping through DVT/PVT and production release.
Define and manage mechanical requirements related to strength, vibration, shock, sealing, thermal interfaces, and serviceability.
Requirements: Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in R&D roles in battery or energy Storage systems.
Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar).
Experience with structural simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of materials, fasteners, tolerances, and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, castings, extrusions, plastics).
Hands-on experience with prototype assembly and testing.
