Microfabrication Engineer | Active Devices | Deep-Tech Startup
An innovative, seed-stage deep-tech startup developing cutting-edge technology is looking for an experienced Microfabrication Engineer to lead the development of active micro- and nanoelectronic devices.
This is a hands-on role focused on the design, fabrication, and characterization of active devices, including thin-film transistors (TFTs) and other structures integrated into novel implanted quantum devices. You will take ownership of device development from design and simulation through fabrication and testing, working independently and with external partners.
Responsibilities
Design, simulate, fabricate, and characterize active transistor devices.
Develop end-to-end fabrication processes in cleanrooms, including advanced lithography, metallization, and etching.
Integrate components with existing and novel devices.
Requirements: Requirements
4+ years of experience designing and fabricating devices in cleanroom environments.
Hands-on transistor design experience, such as FET, TFT, or CMOS.
Strong knowledge of device physics, fabrication processes, and electrical characterization.
Experience with semiconductor materials such as GaN, silicon, metal oxides, or other wide-bandgap materials.
MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, combined with relevant practical experience.
Strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to device development.
Advantages
Experience with a-Si, IGZO, or TFT fabrication.
Experience with high-power FETs or RF FETs.
Silicon-on-insulator (SOI) experience.
Experience with analog or digital circuits.
Proficiency in device simulation tools such as ANSYS or COMSOL.
Background in control systems.
This position is open to all candidates.
