In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, integrating, and testing advanced electro-optical and radar systems for aerospace applications.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop cutting-edge solutions, optimize system performance, and support the transition of advanced technologies from development to production and field deployment.

Responsibilities

BIRD Aerosystems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for our System of Systems project, focused on developing innovative aerospace solutions. You will lead systems integration efforts and ensure seamless functionality across various systems. Responsibilities:
* Own the systems engineering of a complex System of Systems (SoS), maintaining the overall system-level view across multiple interconnected systems and subsystems.
* Translate operational and customer needs into system architecture, clear and verifiable requirements, and system and interface specifications.
* Define and manage interfaces and cross-system dependencies across radar, electro-optic, software and hardware teams.
* Lead system integration, verification and validation activities, including system-level troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues, and participate in field integration and test campaigns (ground and live-fire test events).
* Identify system risks, interface gaps and integration challenges early, and drive technical solutions with the relevant engineering teams.
* Participate in and contribute to system design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and technical trade-off studies from a System of Systems perspective.
* Serve as the technical focal point for system-level and cross-system topics, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and reporting key progress, risks and decisions to the Head of Systems Engineering.

BIRD Aerosystems is seeking a Radar Algorithm Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced radar systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing radar algorithms to enhance detection and tracking capabilities.
Responsibilities:

* Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms.
* Optimize existing radar algorithms for performance and accuracy.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate algorithms into radar systems.
* Conduct simulations and analyses to validate algorithm performance.
* Participate in field tests to evaluate and refine algorithms.
* Document algorithm designs and implementation details.

As a Systems Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of integrating, testing, and fine-tuning complex, multi-sensor systems - for real-world aerospace and defense platforms. You'll own the technical side of our projects end to end, from system integration through live demos with our customers, leveraging your expertise to push the performance and capabilities of cutting-edge technology in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. What You'll Do:
* Perform system integration and lead all technical aspects of the project, end to end
* Perform system testing and validation to meet project requirements

* Document system designs and processes for future reference What We're Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) - Systems Engineering is an advantage
* Proven experience in System of Systems design, development, integration, and test equipment utilization in the fields of C4I, communication, radars, electro-optics, and intelligence sensors
* Experience with system integration and testing methods
* Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards and practices
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment
* Strong customer service orientation
* Effective communication skills in English Nice to Have:
