Hands-on mechanical engineering on a defense-tech R&D team. You'll own the mechanical design of subsystems and mechanisms, working under the Mechanical Engineering team lead, design fast, manufacture fast, fail fast, and reiterate fast. The team is small and growing; you'll have real ownership from day one.
Responsibilities:
* Own the mechanical design of assigned subsystems and mechanisms, working under the team lead 's architectural direction.
* Run structural, thermal, vibration, and shock FEA on flight-critical or fire-critical components.
* Drive DFM/DFA and work directly with subcontractors, machine shops, and suppliers.
* Partner with system, electrical, software, and V&V teams on integration.
* Plan and execute qualification TEST campaigns through to acceptance.
* Contribute to design reviews and help mature the team's engineering practices.
Requirements: * 3+ years hands-on mechanical engineering experience in complex multidisciplined product R&D.
* Defense-tech background, ideally one or more of: flying systems (UAVs, missiles, munitions, aircraft subsystems); firing / weapon systems (launchers, turrets, recoil mechanisms, ammunition handling); very complex robotics or machinery (multi-DOF systems, precision motion, ruggedized field hardware).
* Hands-on CAD ownership today, you still open SolidWorks (or equivalent) every day.
* Full lifecycle experience, concept prototype qualification production transfer.
* B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering.
* Fluent Hebrew + working English; eligible for security clearance. Preferred Qualifications
* Experience designing for harsh environments, vibration, shock, thermal, EMI, sealing.
* MIL- STD qualification (810, 461, etc.), you've taken hardware through it, not just heard of it.
* Experience at IAI, Rafael, Elbit, IMI/Elbit Systems Land, or similar primes.
* Opto-mechanical or precision motion experience.
* Pyrotechnic / energetic systems exposure.
* M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related.
* Manufacturing breadth: sheet metal, CNC, injection molding, additive manufacturing, composites.
