This is a high-impact role for a technical powerhouse who knows how to architect automation frameworks, integrate them deeply into CI/CD pipelines, and turn quality into a competitive advantage. You will build infrastructure, define standards, lead engineers directly as well as indirectly, and push automation into every stage of development. What you will do
Define and drive the end-to-end automation strategy, architecture, and roadmap (backend + UI).
Build, scale, and continuously evolve robust automation frameworks and infrastructure.
Embed automation deeply into CI/CD pipelines in close partnership with DevOps.
Act as the technical authority for automation - setting standards, reviewing code, and raising the engineering bar.
Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, fostering ownership, growth, and execution excellence.
Stay hands-on, writing production-level automation code while guiding design decisions.
Drive execution through clear priorities, measurable goals, and accountability.
Drive organizational automation transformation - across tools, processes, and engineering culture.
Act as a key stakeholder in cross-functional planning and delivery.
Take full accountability for automation quality, delivery, and long-term scalability.
Requirements: What makes you an ideal candidate
5+ years of hands-on automation development.
At least 2 years experience as a team leader/manager .
Proven leadership experience (formal or informal - we care about impact).
Strong background in Java and scripting languages.
Deep experience building automation for backend systems and UI applications.
Strong automation architecture mindset - not just writing tests.
Mastery of Jenkins (pipeline design, scaling, integrations, optimization).
Strong CI/CD knowledge and real-world pipeline integration experience.
Experience working closely with DevOps teams and embedding automation into development workflows.
Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, API automation frameworks, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, etc.
Experience working with complex, large-scale distributed systems.
Deep understanding of object-oriented design.
Passionate, Team player, Quality Driven with excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
